Yuta Tabuse Collection Update #3

Boom, I'm getting off to an early start on expanding my Yuta Tabuse collection.  I picked these three cards up at a local card store this past week.  I was the first customer in a while to look through their singles....COMC really has had an affect on your local brick-and-mortar stores selling singles.  I was glad to take these off their hand and they were happy to unload them.

Up first is Yuta's 2004 Bazooka #217.  Nothing fancy here, but a solid base card.

Next up is Yuta's 2004 Topps Pristine #116.  Another solid base card.

Last is a pretty neat card.. It's Yuta's Upper Deck Trilogy #140- Rookie Premiere Crystal/Level 2 #671/999.  It doesn't look like The Trading Card Database has this Level 2 set in there.  Maybe I'll go see if I can add it.  Billy, any thoughts on this one?

Yuta Tabuse Collection Update #2

Before Japan's Basketball B League was formed last year through the merger of the NBL and bj leagues, Yuta Tabuse was a star for the NBL's Tochigi Brex.  Surprisingly, BBM did not jump on board with getting the NBL license to print cards so NBL had their own cards printed.  Here is a somewhat difficult 2015-2016 card to find of Yuta Tabuse in his NBL uniform.

Here is also some numbered goodness from 2004, an Upper Deck Rookie Sweet Shot Rookie card numbered 707/1250.

Preseason B League actions starts up here in another week with the Early Cup tournaments taking place.  The defending champions Tochigi Brex are playing in the Kanto tournament with five other 1st Division rivals, while the other twelve 1st Division teams are playing against each other and some of the 2nd Division Teams in 3 other tournaments around the country.  A pretty interesting mix...here is the schedule.

Slowly, but surely....Yuta Tabuse Collection Update #1

I added two new Yuta Tabuse cards to my collection over the past few weeks....knocking out some of the small stuff first.  I was able to pick up an inexpensive 2004-05 Topps Chrome Rookie Card off of eBay as well as a 2004-05 SP Signature Retro Remnants with a piece of jersey he wore during a photo shoot.  This is the first memorabilia card I have ever picked up so was pretty excited.  Normally I would have passed it up, but the #427/499 was too tempting.  This brings my Tabuse collection up to 3.  Slowly, but surely as they say.
