Recently, a French seller hooked me up with the French Language version of the card and I was able to cross off one more card from the checklist.
Run-Fore-Sportscaster Cards is a great resource on trying to decipher what is out there!
I love Sportscasters! And it's cool that you have different variations to chase down.
ReplyDeleteSportscasters are so uniquely 1970s! I love them and all the variations!
DeleteThese are hit-and-miss with me, but am interested to learn more about the variations, especially since I had no idea that there were variations until just right now.
ReplyDeleteThe size seems to be a turn off, but the variations are fun to chase. Pre-internet days, these things were a gold mine of info!
DeleteNice one! Those sets look pretty cool, it must be fun to have different language versions of a card to track down!
ReplyDeleteInteresting that Japan go in on the printing of these, yet there are no Japanese language Sportscasters.
DeleteNow I'm trying to imagine what a French sumo wrestler would look like. (Would he walk into the arena wearing a beret and holding a glass of wine?)
ReplyDeleteAt one point, France had the second largest fan base outside of Japan only to the U.S.
